Manchester - Kolo Toure admitted that he would love it if Robin van Persie to join Manchester City. Former teammates at Arsenal's Toure believed would increase the chance of winning the Champions League City.
City have been linked with Van Persie before he announced it would not renew his contract with Arsenal. With a year on his contract, believed to be Dutch international players will be sold this summer.
Toure, who had spent seven seasons in uniform for the Gunners, crossing to the City in 2009 with a ransom of 16 million pounds.
Earlier there were several other Arsenal players who 'follow' Toure like Emmanuel Adebayor, Gael Clichy and Samir Nasri last.
"Robin is a top player. I've played with him, I knew him and he's a great guy," said Toure was quoted by the Manchester Evening News.
"In the City we have a lot of great players and clubs do what they want in the transfer market. But for me, if Robin comes it will be great because I know what he can do."
"You have to build a squad every year to perform better, to win the Champions League is very difficult as we see," added the defender from the Ivory Coast
